Search Engine Optimisation is the process of making websites rank high in search results like Google and Bing.
Since few people look past page one of search engines the goal is to get in the first ten results that show up.
When it comes to pricing SEO is not a one-size-fits-all all thing. Pricing and success depends on various factors; content, commitment, goal, the product, competition and your budget are some of the factors
It’s a collaborative thing. If a SEO adviser suggests something and the owners don’t implement then results will be affected.
Don’t expect SEOs to be wizards who will magically rank a website while not getting the raw materials and commitment.
Various factors make a website rank in the top pages. Content quality, backlinks, site speed, internal linking, site usability, keywords, and many others. The major two are content an backlinks.
Backlinks are links from other sites to yours. They tell Google that the website is reliable and trustworthy, therefore pushing it to the top
However, backlinks are not easy to build. They require dedication and commitment. If your competitors have more backlinks you’ll most likely be outranked even if your content is top-notch.
For this reason, I encourage newbie websites to target long-tailed, less competitive keywords. These are easy to rank for but you need to do a lot of research to find out specific questions that people have.
How Do Search Engines Work?
Search engines like Google send bots(algorithms) across the web to crawl websites and mine for information. They then store that info in their databases. When a person searches it will pull relevant information (websites) from its database.
What Does SEO Involve?
On-page SEO
On-page SEO is optimisation done on the front (user) facing side of the website. Some of the On-page techniques are:
- Creating quality content
- Title tags & meta descriptions
- Internal linking
- Anchor text
- Image alt tag descriptions
- User Interface & Experience (Design & Usability)
Off-page SEO
Off-page SEO involves backlink building, i.e. links from other websites to yours. Backlinks are a strong ranking signal because they tell Google that your website has useful content to offer and is more reliable and trustworthy.
Backlinks can be acquired naturally when other websites see your content as useful and reference it. However, sometimes you need to acquire (hunt) backlinks from other websites by asking them to link your content or guest posting on other websites.
Because backlinks are a huge ranking factor, they are one of the things in SEO that can be shadily built and manipulated to the extent that people can buy bulk links, and acquire them from private blogging networks, and other schemes.
Don’t get caught on the wrong side of the law!
Keyword Research
Keyword(s) are the word(s) people type in searches. For example, What is weathering? Weathering is the main keyword and should be present more often on your page. We may need to know the keywords that are being searched the most and how competitive they are. Research also involves finding keywords that are less competitive with considerable searches and deman. These are called long-tailed keywords.
Technical SEO
Technical SEO is sort of the geek side of search optimisation. Technical SEO deals with optimising a website so that websites can discover and crawl your website with ease. It involves:
- Website architecture and hierarchy
- Website programming (HTML and JavaScipt)
- Website Speed
- XMLsitemaps
- Website security (SSL)
- Page Redirects
- Crawl budgets
- Breadcrumbs
- Schema and Featured Snippets

Our Approach to SEO

Our approach to SEO is easy; targeting less competitive long-tailed keywords. If you have a new site ranking for short, broad keywords like shoes, construction etc can be difficult. You’ll be competing with a plethora of big websites.
Moreover, these keywords are loose and not specific. Long-tailed keywords are specific to people’s searches. They may have low search volumes but the searchers are highly likely to convert (become a customer).
Also, long-tailed keywords are hard to find but if you get them you can dominate the top pages. Links start to come in naturally and domain authority grows.
Pricing
As mentioned above, SEO pricing is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Level of completion for keywords, budget, goals, and content writing are some of the main factors influencing pricing.
Competitive keywords will require more research, more backlinks and more work to rank on top.
Who’s going to write the content? if our team provides blogs and articles then you’ll end up paying more.
Prices can range from as small as $100 – $1000 or more depending on the goals.
| Plan | Price | Features |
|---|---|---|

You can rank a website naturally or organically without paying money. This takes some time but the rewards are big if you get it right, However, you can pay Google or any other search engine to rank on top. Paid rankings don’t always equate to more traffic, you can still lose if not done right.
How long does it take to rank a website high?
Well, it depends. SEO is a strategy not a quick-rich tactic if you want to see authentic results. Organic SEO rankings can take less than a month on the lower end to more than a year on the extreme side. Many factors are at play like commitment, type of niche, competition and keywords.
